My Reading Habits . . And Other Stuff

Hello Everyone!!!
Here's what I've been reading lately!!
Most recently I've been reading books by Lauren Brooke. I just finished Chestnut Hill #6, All or Nothing, and now I am rereading her first series called Heartland. Both series are about horses and are a little bit too easy for me. I don't care though!! ; ) At the moment I am on #6 of my rereading adventures. That means that I still have 15 to go!!
Before that I read a book called Spirited By Nancy Holder. It is a take on Beauty and the Beast, and it's really good.
Before that I read Chill Factor by Rachel Caine, Steal the Dragon by Patricia Briggs, Snowfall by K.M.Peyton and Bella at Midnight by Diane Stanley. They were all good, but after reading Chill Factor I decided that I didn't want to read the rest of the series. It was a good book, but the books were becoming less and less interesting and more . . .just. . . .stuff to fill the pages almost. I don't know how to fully explain it.

I haven't read any of the library books yet, but I am planning to read them after I finish rereading the entire Heartland series.

Books I have read recently . .

Hello -
So, here are the books that I have read recently and bought and so on.

I have taken a rest on the book A Circle of Friends because I just got a lot of books from the library and they have a due date and I own A Circle of Friends.
The only book that I have read from this batch of books so far is called Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David L. (Levigne? Something like that maybe as his last name.) I thought it would be really good because I liked the books Gingerbread and Shrimp that Rachel Cohn wrote, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It had a lot of cussing in it, which just made the book seem like either cussing was a normal way of talking or that the characters were constantly angry, but not angry, at the same time. It was weird.

The other books that I got from the library were -

Seventeenth Summer By Maureen Daly (Was a written a long time before I thought it was written. I thought is was written pretty recently, but inside it has a copyright of 1966 or something like that. Look it up on the internet if you are interested.)

Chill Factor By Rachel Caine
AND
Windfall By Rachel Caine

So as you can see, I need to wait on Circle of Friends so that these books don'tbeome overdue.

I got a book at Barnes and Nobles today and it's called -
All of Nothing By Lauren Brooke.
It is number 6 in the Chestnut Hill series. It is not a young adult book, and is in fact a younger reader/kid book, but I love the Heartland series by Lauren Brooke and I just can't seem to stop reading her books, even though they are too easy for me. That's probably a bad thing, but whatever.

The Books I Got For Christmas

Here are the books that I got for Christmas -
The Book Thief By Markus Zusak
Sunshine By Robin McKinley
Boys Over Flowers 20 (Anime/Manga)
Circle of Friends By Maeve Binchey
Red River 15 (Anime/Manga)
Fruits Basket 15 (Anime/Manga)

I have read all of them except for Fruits Basket 15 and Circle of Friends. I am near page 20 in Circle of Friends, but I haven't started Fruits Basket 15 yet.

The Book Theif is a very interesting book. It takes place in Germany during World War II, and the narator is Death. Just by that, you must have some thoughts about what it contains.

Sunshine is a vampire story. Interesting, and unlike some other stories I've read about vampires.

Boys Over Flowers 20 is the 20th book in an anime series. I'm not going to tell you anything about it except . . READ #1!

Red River 15 is the 15th book in an anime series, so you have to read #1 before I tell you anything about it! Same as Boys Over Flowers 20! They are both good books though.

I hope everyone got good books for Christmas or whatever other holiday they celebrate so that they can spend their time reading instead of rotting their mind . . .with . . . something! :)

Good Authors

Hi!!! -
So, instead of my idea of written stuff, and then a picture, and then more written stuff I might just post whatever I want!! I think with today's post I am going to post a list of good authors, and MAYBE a picture, or two. (Only if you're lucky though.) I still have homework to do - SUCKY!

Good Authors -
-Isable Allende - I've only read 3 of her books, so I'm not the BEST judge of her, but I like the trilogy of her's that I've read.
-Joan Bauer - I've read quite a few of her books, and they are all very good. Well written, or at least, I think they are! : )
-Ann Brashares - Everyone's heard of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, haven't they?!?!
-Lauren Brooke - Horsey, Horsey, Horsey!!!! I LOVE HORSES!!! She writes horse books, if you haven't already realized that!
-Meg Cabot - Princess Diaries of course!!!! She has also written other good books.
-Kate Constable - I've read the only 3 books that she's written, and they are very interesting.
-Anne McCaffrey - Dragonriders of Pern series!! And they are nice dragons!!!
-Lurlene McDaniel - Cheesy romance/illness type books. In every book someone is either sick or mentally hurt.
-Tamora Pierce - I've read every book that she has written, and they are all good. Woman are strong figures in her stories.

Just because these are the only authors that I mentioned, it doesn't mean that there aren't other good authors that I haven't mentioned. I think mostly I just mentioned authors that I have read a considerable amount of their books.
FINE - since I'm still sitting here, I'll add some pictures. I'm posting picture of books/authors that I didn't mention earlier.

My New Book

Hello -
The other day my family went shopping to pass time after I had a doctor's appointment. We went to Barnes and Nobles!!! (Yeah!, Woo Hoo)

While I was there, I was a bad girl, and I read an entire anime book. Red River #15, to be exact. I read anime in my spare time. Red River, Mars, Kare Kano, and Fruits Basket are a few of my favorites.

While at Barnes and Noble, I did buy a book!!! It is called Bad Girls By Alex McAulay. It is interesting. At the moment I am only on page 105, so I haven't gotten too far into it.
This is the summary on the back -
"Anna Wheeler's parents have had it up to here. They can't seem to control their daughter anymore and so, one night, Anna's yanked from her bed and carted off to Camp Archstone-bootcamp for troubled teen girls. There, on a vast, remote, sparsely populated island, Anna will be expected to change her ways and repent for the sins her religious father just can't seem to forgive. Here's a hint: There's a boy involved. No, a man.
Life at Camp Archstone is Anna's worst nightmare. Every minute of the day is scheduled, the couselors are hardcore, and one girl is crueler than the next. Covers Of Some Good Books

Hello -

This blog is going to be filled with covers of books. Have fun looking at them! I might only do one or two right now, but I'll post other covers later. Maybe I'll do a written entry to my blog, then one with photos and then another written one, or something like that. What do you think? Feel free to leave comments on any of my posts, on either of my blogs.

Also - You need to know that sometimes when I post pictures of book covers, I don't just mean THAT book. I mean, hey! I like this author's books, and this is ONE of the ones that I like. Sometimes I really do mean just that book, but not most of the time.

What I've been reading

I'm going to be telling you about what I've been reading.

So, here's what I've been reading lately.

-Love, Life, and the Pursuit of Hotties - Katie Maxwell
Interesting book about a girl named Emily who is in her last year of high school to the summer before college. The book is written in the form of e-mails between her and different friends. It is not the first in the series of books about Emily, so I don't suggest reading this unless you have read the one's that come before.
A lot of people might not like this book, because it is definitely weird.
-13 Little Blue Envelopes - Maureen Johnson
A good book. For some reason I thought it wouldn't be very good, but it was. It's about a girl named Ginny who gets a letter from her dead aunt that says that she needs to pack one bag and to go to London. It leads Ginny on an adventure around Europe, from the 13 blue envelopes that are from her aunt. Very good story.
-Glass Houses-Rachel Caine
Good. It's a vampire book, but a different outlook on vampires. There are twists to the story that don't normally happen in vampire books.
In this one college town, all of the natives have a type of insurance that assures that the vampries won't bother them, since the vampires rule the town. Some good vampires, some bad, some young, some old. Very interesting and good.
-The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
Hard to describe. Written in the form of letters to an anonymous person. The main character writes to this person about his life, so we can hear everything first hand. We learn about his past and what is happening at the present time. Interesting.
-Annie's Baby: the diary of Anonymous, a pregnant teenager - Edited by Beatice Sparks
Good book. Shows you that you really don't want to get pregnant for a LONG time. Written in the form of diary entries.
-Fair Haven - JoAnn Ross
Good book. About an american woman doctor who travels to Ireland to try to help save her friend from dying. And in the process she becomes friends with some of the other people living their, and helps diagnose an 8 year old girl.

They are all very good. Most of them are young adult books so if you are older than a young adult, I don't know if you would like these books or not. If you want a better summary for any of these books, then go to the author's main website, or amazon.com

At the moment I am reading Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe By Fannie Flagg and I will soon be starting Ill Wind by Rachel Caine.
